Borg El Arab Stadium

Borg El Arab Stadium is a large multi-purpose stadium near Alexandria in the Alexandria Governorate of Egypt, constructed as a national-level sports venue. It ranks among the country’s largest stadiums by seating capacity.

The stadium offers a full complement of modern spectator facilities and a large seating bowl suited for football matches, athletics and major events. It serves as a venue for national team matches and large domestic fixtures and includes ancillary facilities for teams and officials.

Built in the 2000s, the stadium was developed to provide a high-capacity venue outside central Cairo and to support Egypt’s hosting of major regional sports events. It has since been used for national team fixtures and regional tournaments.

The complex is situated on the southwestern outskirts of Alexandria, accessible by road from the city and the surrounding governorate.
