How to Get to Bhimavaram#
Bhimavaram is well connected by Indian Railways via its local stations (Bhimavaram Junction and Bhimavaram Town) and by Andhra Pradesh state buses. The nearest commercial airports are at Rajahmundry and Vijayawada; many travellers combine a flight to those hubs with a short train or bus onward.
Rajahmundry Airport (RJA): Rajahmundry is one of the closer airports to Bhimavaram. From RJA you can travel to Bhimavaram by taxi or pre-arranged car; the drive is roughly 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the service and route. Expect private-taxi fares to be in the region of INR 2,000-4,000 per person for shared arrangements (higher for private hires).
Vijayawada / Vijayawada Airport (VGA) / Vijayawada Railway Hub: Vijayawada is a larger air and rail hub; many travellers fly or train into Vijayawada and continue by road or rail to Bhimavaram. Road travel from Vijayawada takes around 2-3 hours by bus or taxi.
Train: Bhimavaram is served by the Indian Railways network via Bhimavaram Junction (BVR/BVRM) and Bhimavaram Town (BVRT) stations on the Howrah-Chennai coastal route. Regular passenger and express services connect to major Andhra cities; travel times depend on origin and train class (sleeper/express/Passenger).

Fares are low (typically INR 50-300 depending on distance and bus type) and travel times vary from under an hour to a few hours.
