Benin in November: Weather, Crowds & What to Expect

Coastal & Littoral (Cotonou, Porto‑Novo, Grand‑Popo, Ganvié)

November brings a tapering of the short rains: days grow sunnier and humidity drops in fits, making coastal sightseeing and boat trips to Ganvié more reliable. The season change clears the lagoon and the city, and ferries return to steadier schedules; weekends see more domestic visitors returning to beaches. Central Plateau & Collines (Abomey, Bohicon, Dassa‑Zoumé, Cové)

November brings a pronounced reduction in rainfall and generally sunnier days, excellent for visiting open‑air markets and archeological sites without the mud of the wet season.
