Regular passenger ferries and fastcraft depart from Zamboanga Port (Fort Pilar / Consuelo area) for ports on Basilan such as Isabela City and Lamitan; crossings typically take a couple of hours depending on vessel and conditions. From Isabela or Lamitan you can continue by local jeepney or taxi to other parts of the island.
