How to Get to Baoshan
Baoshan (Yunnan) is reached by regional flights to Baoshan Yunrui Airport (BSD) or overland from Kunming by coach or connecting flight. Kunming is the main transport hub for international arrivals and for onward rail connections.
Baoshan Yunrui Airport (BSD): Baoshan is served by Baoshan Yunrui Airport (BSD) with domestic flights to hubs such as Kunming. From BSD the city centre is approximately a 20-40 minute drive; taxis typically cost in the range of ¥30-80 depending on exact pickup point and luggage.
Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG): For more flight options, many travellers fly into Kunming (KMG) and continue to Baoshan by a short domestic flight or by long-distance coach. Flights Kunming-Baoshan take around 1 hour; coach journeys are commonly 5-7 hours depending on route and carrier.
Train: The nearest significant rail hub for long-distance high-speed services is Kunming South / Kunming Railway Station. From Kunming you’ll transfer by bus, car or a regional flight to reach Baoshan.
Bus: Regular long-distance coach services run between Kunming and Baoshan from Kunming’s long-distance coach stations; journey time by coach is typically 5-7 hours with fares commonly in the range of ¥80-¥200 depending on coach class and operator.
