How to Get to Baltim
Baltim on Egypt's Nile Delta coast is reached most easily by road from Alexandria or by combining rail to a nearby delta city and a short road transfer. Alexandria International is the most convenient airport for arrivals to Baltim.
Alexandria International Airport (HBE): Alexandria is the nearest major airport serving the Kafr El Sheikh region. From Alexandria Airport to Baltim (on the Nile Delta coast) is typically a 1-1.5 hour drive depending on traffic. You can take a taxi or arrange a private transfer; taxis are commonly used and fares are usually paid by negotiation (expect modest costs for the roughly 60-90 km trip).
Cairo International Airport (CAI): As Egypt’s main international gateway, Cairo is another option. Road travel from Cairo to Baltim takes about 2.5-4 hours depending on route and traffic. Long-distance buses and private transfers run between Cairo and towns in the Nile Delta; ticket prices vary by operator and coach class.
Train: Egyptian National Railways serves major cities in the delta, with stations in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate such as Kafr El Sheikh city. There is not a major rail station in Baltim itself; you can take a train to Kafr El Sheikh or Rosetta and continue by road.
