How to Get to Aqua Anio Novus#

The best-preserved stretches associated with the Anio Novus can be seen in the Parco degli Acquedotti to the southeast of Rome’s centre. From the city, take bus or taxi toward Via Appia Antica and the park entrances; it is also a pleasant cycle from central Rome along designated paths.

Tips for Visiting Aqua Anio Novus#

Most visible remains of the Anio Novus aqueduct are in the eastern suburbs of Rome; combine a walk with the Parco degli Acquedotti for a fuller picture of Rome's water infrastructure.
Wear good walking shoes - the aqueduct traces are in uneven, often grassy terrain.
