How to Get to Aldoar
Aldoar is a parish within Porto's urban area and is easiest reached via Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) or Porto's rail hubs (Campanhã / São Bento). Use the Metro from the airport and switch to local buses or a short taxi for the final leg.
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), Porto: Porto’s airport is the primary air gateway for Aldoar. The Metro (Line E) connects the airport to Trindade/Campanhã in about 30 minutes; from Trindade or Casa da Música you can change to local buses or a short taxi to Aldoar. Metro fares for airport journeys are typically in the €2.00-€3.00 range depending on ticket type.
Note: Lisbon (Humberto Delgado, LIS) is the main international hub for Portugal but is far from Porto; only relevant if you plan a domestic flight or multi-city trip.
Train: Porto’s main rail hubs are Campanhã and São Bento. Suburban (CP regional/urban) and long-distance Alfa Pendular/Intercidades services arrive at Campanhã; from Campanhã you can reach Aldoar by short taxi or local bus. Single-zone suburban trips within Porto typically cost a few euros depending on distance.
Bus / Metro: Porto has an integrated public transport network (Metro and STCP buses). STCP buses and the metro reach neighbourhoods around Aldoar - single bus fares are typically around €1.20-€2.00 for city services; the metro from the airport to Trindade/Casa da Música takes ~30 minutes and then a short bus/taxi will reach Aldoar.
