Afgooye is reached overland from Mogadishu; the nearest commercial airport is Aden Adde International Airport (MGQ) in Mogadishu. Expect to complete the final leg by road using a hired 4x4, shared minibus or taxi.

From the airport you will need to arrange road transport (private taxi/4x4) into Mogadishu and onward to Afgooye by hired vehicle or local minibus.
Other airports: There are no reliable scheduled commercial flights directly into Afgooye; all air arrivals for the region use Mogadishu (MGQ).
Bus / Minibus: Afgooye is reached primarily by road from Mogadishu. Shared minibuses and private hires run the Mogadishu-Afgooye route; travel times are roughly 45-90 minutes depending on road and security conditions.
