Abu El Matamir lies in the Nile Delta and is most frequently reached by road from Alexandria or Cairo, or by rail to nearby Damanhour followed by a short local transfer. Local minibuses and taxis serve the final leg of the journey.
Borg El Arab Airport (HBE) / Alexandria: Abu El Matamir is in Beheira Governorate and is most easily reached via Alexandria (Borg El Arab) or Cairo depending on your origin. From Alexandria the road transfer to Abu El Matamir takes around 1-1.5 hours by car.
Cairo International Airport (CAI): Cairo is also an option - the drive from Cairo to Abu El Matamir is longer (around 2-3 hours depending on traffic) and most visitors travelling from abroad will transfer by road from Cairo or Alexandria.
