About Waterbom Bali

Waterbom opened in 1993 on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Tuban, the southern end of Kuta, and has grown into one of the best-known water parks in Asia. Its slides and pools are spread through about 4 hectares of tropical garden, with thatched pavilions and lawns between the rides, so it feels greener and shadier than most water parks.

The rides range from gentle to extreme. A lazy river loops around the park, there are family raft slides and inner-tube runs, and young children have their own area of splash pools and small slides. The headline thrill rides include steep speed slides and a looping slide that starts when a trapdoor drops away beneath the rider. The line-up changes over the years, so check what is running before you go.

Plan on most of a day. Arrive at opening time to ride the big slides before the queues build, and if you are with children, a shaded pavilion makes a useful base.

How to Get to Waterbom Bali

Waterbom is on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Tuban, within walking distance of most hotels in south Kuta and a short taxi ride from elsewhere in the south. The airport is about 10 minutes away by road.
