Crossing times depend on the route and vessel but are typically around 1-2 hours; the island’s main settlement is a short walk from the ferry landing. From Šibenik drive to the ferry port in the city to board scheduled services.

• Use the regular Jadrolinija (or local ferry) connection from Šibenik and arrive at the main harbour in Žirje town so you can orient yourself easily on foot-the ferry schedule is limited so check times before planning.
• Visit early in the season (May-June) or on weekdays to avoid peak Croatian summer crowds and to find quieter coves and walking routes around the island.
