Zhovkva Castle is a late Renaissance fortified residence in the town of Zhovkva, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, founded by hetman and magnate Stanisław Żółkiewski around the turn of the 17th century. It served as the centerpiece of a planned town and noble estate.
The complex comprises a palace building set within defensive earthworks and bastions; surviving elements include the residential wings and parts of the fortifications. Visitors see the castle fabric, the courtyard and the relationship between the castle and the surrounding planned town.
Construction and development took place in the late 16th and early 17th centuries under Żółkiewski and his heirs; the castle later underwent modifications and suffered damage during successive wars but portions have been conserved and studied.
The castle stands in the town of Zhovkva in Lviv Oblast, in the historic region north of the city of Lviv.
