Zhengding Travel Guide

The time-honored ancient city of Zhengding lies at the eastern foot of Mount Taihang and has been inhabited by humans for 5,000 years. It boasts numerous historical sites and intriguing cultural relics.

The city’s major attraction is the famous Longxing Temple, a well-preserved, magnificent ancient structure which was built in 586 AD and belongs to the Four Treasures in Hebei. Further cultural relics sites under provincial and national level protection respectively include the Linji Temple, Temple of Literature, Linxiao Tower, Hua Tower and the Chengling Tower.

With tourism booming in recent years, Zhengding has been searching for new resources related to its inheritance. Since 1986, the city has established the Rongguo Mansion, Ningrong Street, Palace of the Romance of Heroes and Gods, Zhaoyun Temple and the Military Amusement Park to name but a few.

Ancient temples and towers as well as modern tourist spots draw many sightseers both from China and abroad to Zhengding, which has been registered as a provincial and national level historical and cultural city.

Getting There & Away

Shijiazhuang Zhengding Airport operates flights to more than 30 domestic and international destinations. Express trains reach Shijiazhuang from Beijing within 2 hours, and there are several long-distance bus stations to be found in Shijiazhuang. From here, take bus 201 to Zhengding which is only 15kms away.
