How to Get to Zhaoxing
Zhaoxing (the Dong minority villages) sits in a mountainous area of Guizhou; arrivals typically route through regional airports or rail stations into Kaili/Guiyang and continue by road. Expect long driving times on rural roads.
Nearest regional airports (e.g., Guilin / Kaili / Guiyang): Zhaoxing (Zhaoxing Dong village area) is in a rural part of Guizhou; most visitors fly into nearby regional airports such as Guilin Liangjiang, Kaili Huangping (KJH) or Guiyang Longdongbao (KWE) depending on routings. From any of these airports onward travel is by road-expect 2-4+ hours by bus or hired car depending on the airport and route chosen.
Train: The nearest major railhead is at Kaili or other regional stations; from there travellers use buses or hire cars to reach Zhaoxing and nearby villages.
Bus / Coach: Local long-distance buses and tourist coaches connect regional centres (Kaili, Congjiang, Rongjiang) to ethnic villages in Qiandongnan Prefecture. Services can be slow and schedules irregular-book or confirm links in advance.
