Zamen Ahoo National Park

Zamen Ahoo National Park is a protected natural area in North Khorasan province in northeastern Iran, established to conserve local steppe and semi-arid habitats. It is recognized at the provincial level for its natural values and wildlife.

The site comprises open grassland and semi-arid plains with patches of seasonal wetland and saline flats; these habitats support birdlife and mammals typical of the region. Facilities and trails are limited compared with developed national parks, so visits are generally focused on wildlife observation and landscape viewing rather than built attractions.

Designation and management have focused on habitat protection and limiting land-use pressures; specific establishment dates and administrative details are handled by Iranian conservation authorities. Over time the area has been managed to balance grazing, local use, and wildlife conservation.

The park sits in North Khorasan province in northeastern Iran. The nearest provincial administrative center is Bojnord; the park lies within the province’s rural interior and is accessed from provincial roads.
