- Intercity minibuses / bush taxis (1,500-3,000 XAF) - The most common way to get in and out of Yabassi. Minibuses depart from Douala and nearby towns; journeys are shared, can be crowded, and run on flexible schedules. Trips are affordable but expect multiple stops and basic facilities.
- Private car / taxi (25,000-35,000 XAF) - Hiring a private car or taxi is faster and more comfortable than minibuses and useful if you have luggage or arrive late. Roads can be narrow and condition varies; negotiated flat rates are usual for long transfers.
- Coach services (Varies) - Some scheduled coach companies serve nearby hubs; coaches are marginally more comfortable than minibuses but less frequent. Timetables can change with little notice-confirm locally.
- Motorbike taxis (okadas) (200-500 XAF) - Available for very short hops inside and around the town. Fast for single passengers but exposed to weather and road dust; negotiate price before departing.
- Car hire (Depends on rental) - Hiring a car (with or without driver) gives the most flexibility for exploring rural areas around Yabassi. Fuel and road conditions add to total cost; a driver familiar with the area is recommended.
