Wyalusing State Park is a Wisconsin state park located on a prominent bluff that overlooks the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi rivers near the city of Prairie du Chien. It combines scenic overlooks, woodland trails and cultural sites in a compact park setting.
Visitors use the park for hiking on several miles of trails, picnicking, primitive camping and birdwatching-spring and fall migrations are especially active from the high points. The park also protects archaeological features and mound sites that reflect long-term Indigenous use of the river valleys. Facilities are oriented to day use and basic overnight camping.
The park preserves natural bluff-top forest and grassland on the rivers’ meeting point and serves as a regional scenic and recreational resource. Management balances recreation with protection of archaeological and ecological values.
The park sits on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi in southwestern Wisconsin, immediately adjacent to Prairie du Chien and within easy driving distance of regional highways.

How to Get to Wyalusing State Park #
Wyalusing State Park is about 20 miles north of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. From Prairie du Chien take US-18 or local county roads north and follow signage to the park; the visitor centre and main overlooks are reached by paved access roads.
