Wuhan Greenland Center
Building Supertall mixed-use skyscraper in Wuhan's CBD
Planned as a supertall tower in Wuhan’s business district, the Wuhan Greenland Center and its surrounding complex contribute to the city’s skyline; visitors come for riverfront walks, skyline photography and nearby restaurants.
Wuhan Greenland Center is a supertall mixed-use tower project by the Greenland Group in Wuhan, Hubei province. It was planned to be one of China’s tallest towers and intended to contain office, hotel and residential space.
Construction began in the 2010s and the scheme underwent redesigns and work suspensions as planners addressed civil aviation height restrictions and technical issues. The originally announced height was reduced during redesigns to comply with local airspace limits.
The development is located in Wuhan’s urban core within Hubei province. It sits in one of the city’s new business districts and is part of a wider collection of high-rise projects reshaping Wuhan’s skyline.
- Height and planning: Originally proposed as a supertall mixed-use tower by Greenland Group; the project's height was reduced after civil aviation restrictions were applied.
