About Dabie Shan#

Dabie Shan is a mountain range in eastern-central China located around the junction of Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces. The range forms a notable upland area of forested hills and ridges across this inland region.

The mountains serve as a watershed area influencing river systems in the surrounding provinces. The terrain includes forested slopes and valleys and supports local agriculture, forestry and protected natural areas.

Geographically the range lies inland from the lower Yangtze plain and provides elevated terrain between the central plains and more southerly uplands of China.
