How to Get to Windsor, Berkshire
Windsor is easily reached from London Heathrow and by train via Slough, Windsor & Eton Central or Windsor & Eton Riverside. Short local buses, coaches and taxis make final connections around the town and to the castle area.
London Heathrow (LHR): Heathrow is the closest major airport to Windsor (≈15-25 minutes by car). From Heathrow you can take a taxi (≈£25-£45, 20-30 minutes) or public transport: Heathrow Express/Piccadilly Line to London then connect via Paddington/Slough to Windsor; direct buses (Green Line 702) also serve Windsor (≈£6-£12, 40-60 minutes).
London Gatwick (LGW): Gatwick is further away; trains via London or direct coach services are possible but take longer (1.5-2 hours).
