Terminal layout

HPN uses a single terminal building with multiple gate areas/concourses within one central terminal complex. Facilities are focused on regional commercial operations: check-in, security screening, a small number of gates, rental car desks and basic passenger services.

Transport options

• Summary: The airport has direct road access; travel to downtown White Plains is short, and trips to Manhattan typically take about 35-75 minutes by car depending on traffic.

• Taxis / ride-hailing: Taxis and ride-hailing services operate from the terminal; fares to Manhattan vary widely with demand - expect higher peak rates.

• Shuttles / buses: Local shuttle and private transfer services connect the airport with nearby hotels and rail stations; check schedules in advance.
• Rail: The nearest Metro-North stations are accessible by short taxi or shuttle ride from the airport for connections into NYC via train.
• Driving: Driving times are short to White Plains and suburban Westchester destinations; parking is available at the airport.

There are several hotels in the White Plains / Westchester County area within a short drive of the airport; most are reached by taxi or hotel shuttle. For late arrivals or early departures look for hotels offering airport shuttles. There are no on-airport overnight hotels directly attached to the terminal.
