West Bay is Doha’s skyline: a cluster of glass-and-steel towers, international hotels and corporate offices fronting the Corniche. Tornado Tower and the line of high-rises are the quarter’s signature, with West Bay Avenue and the waterfront walk nearby.

Daytime the area hums with commuters and conference delegates; evenings are dominated by hotel restaurants and relaxed waterfront strolls. For sightseeing, the area is a short drive from the central Corniche, the Museum District and the old city; the large City Centre Doha mall sits at the area’s western edge.

You’ll find many hotel bars and upscale restaurants rather than a dense local street-food scene, and shopping is concentrated in nearby malls rather than boutique lanes.
