The Warsaw Zoo is a large municipal zoological garden on the east bank of the Vistula River in the Praga district of Warsaw. It was founded in 1928 and is one of Poland’s major zoos by area and animal collection.

The zoo was established in 1928 and expanded in the decades that followed; it was affected by wartime damage during World War II and subsequently rebuilt and modernized. Over the 20th and early 21st centuries the institution has developed conservation and educational programs alongside exhibit upgrades.
Located on the eastern side of central Warsaw, the zoo sits within the Praga-Północ area along landscaped riverside parks. It is a short transit ride from central Warsaw and accessible by public transport.
