Veľký Rozsutec is a limestone peak in the Malá Fatra mountains of northern Slovakia, rising to roughly 1,609 metres and noted for steep rocky faces and distinctive karst topography. It is part of a protected nature reserve within the Malá Fatra area and is well known among hikers for its dramatic cliffs and biodiversity.
Marked trails lead to viewpoints and the ridge, but some ascent routes include steep sections and require basic mountain experience. The mountain’s rock formations and endemic plant communities are the reason for conservation measures in the area.
The peak is located in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia, within the Malá Fatra protected landscape and national park zone.

Veľký Rozsutec lies in Malá Fatra National Park near Terchová. Access is by car from Žilina to Terchová/Štefanová (about 25-35 km, ~30-40 minutes) where you can park and join the well-marked hiking routes into the park; the summit is reached on foot via steep, protected mountain trails and typically takes a few hours of hiking from the nearest trailheads.
