Varakhsha is an archaeological site in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan, known for the ruins of a fortified settlement and palace complex. The site preserves remains associated with Sogdian-era urban and palace architecture.
Excavations at Varakhsha have uncovered foundation walls, platforms and fragments of painted decoration that attest to the site’s importance in the early medieval period. The painted panels and architectural fragments are important evidence for regional art and palatial decoration in the 7th and 8th centuries.

Over time the palace and settlement fell into ruin and were later subject to archaeological investigation.
