Upernivik Island is an island in northwestern Greenland within the Avannaata administrative region. It lies in the waters of Baffin Bay off Greenland’s northwest coast.

The island is part of the complex Arctic island and fjord landscape characteristic of the region, with rocky coasts and Arctic climate conditions. There are no developed tourist facilities on the island.

Like much of Greenland’s coastal islands, Upernivik has an Arctic environment shaped by glacial and marine processes and supports typical high-latitude flora and fauna. It falls under Greenland’s municipal administration.
