Udo is a small island off the east coast of Jeju Island in South Korea, administratively part of Jeju Province. The island covers roughly 6.2 square kilometres and is formed from volcanic activity associated with Jeju’s geology.

Visitors reach Udo by a short ferry from Seongsan Port and commonly circle the island by bicycle, scooter or tour bus to visit beaches, coastal cliffs and local cafes. The island’s modest peak provides panoramic views across the East Sea and toward Jeju’s eastern shore.

Udo developed as a small fishing and farming community with local traditions tied to the sea and volcanic soils; tourism expanded in the late 20th and early 21st centuries with regular ferry connections from Jeju.

Udo lies off the northeast tip of Jeju Island, about a few kilometres from Seongsan on Jeju’s coast, and is one of the islets most frequently visited on day trips from Jeju city or Seongsan.
