How to Get to Trevelin

Trevelin (near Esquel in Chubut) is most easily reached via Esquel Airport or by long‑distance coach from Patagonian hubs. The final leg between Esquel and Trevelin is short and usually done by taxi or shuttle.

By Air

El Calafate / Trelew / Esquel (regional airports): Trevelin is best accessed via Esquel Airport (EQS), the closest regional airport (about 20-35 km away). From Esquel airport a taxi or shuttle to Trevelin takes roughly 20-30 minutes; fares vary by operator. If flying into larger hubs you may connect through Trelew (REL) or Comodoro Rivadavia and complete the trip by long‑distance bus or car.

Buenos Aires (EZE / AEP): International visitors commonly fly into Buenos Aires and then take a domestic flight to Esquel or a long‑distance bus to the Chubut region; expect total travel times of many hours including connections.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no regular long‑distance passenger rail service directly serving Trevelin; railways in the region are largely freight or heritage lines.
