IndiTales
Award-winning travel blog on Indian and international destinations, culture and walking tours.
About IndiTales
IndiTales is the personal travel blog of Anuradha Goyal, which she began in 2004 to combine her two passions, travel and books. Over the years she has visited 18 countries and many corners of India, written for print outlets, spoken at tourism events and grown the site to more than 1,100 posts. The site offers destination features, walking tours, museum and temple guides, hotel reviews and travel tips. IndiTales is supported by Shashi, who contributes many of the bird photographs. Posts are illustrated with the author’s own photos and practical links for readers.
A quietly scholarly love letter to temples, museums and walking streets, IndiTales reads like a travel notebook from a curious and well informed guide. Anuradha writes in a warm, observational voice that mixes local stories, historical context and practical details, as in the Dewas temple piece where food stalls, ropeways and myths all get equal treatment. The site is strongest on cultural deep dives, city walking itineraries and heritage tours, and it keeps a steady rhythm of new material - a couple of posts a month - drawn from both India and overseas trips. Expect readable longform pieces backed by personal photos and useful links.
