Trajan’s Kiosk, often called the Kiosk of Trajan, is a Roman-period kiosk originally associated with the temple complex on Philae near Aswan in southern Egypt. The structure is a small open pavilion built with classical columnar architecture and Roman-era decorative elements.
The kiosk served as an architectural pavilion within the Philae temple setting and is characterized by a colonnaded plan and Corinthian-style capitals. It is a compact structure that functioned as an architectural complement to the adjacent Egyptian temples rather than a large temple building.
The kiosk was constructed during the Roman imperial period and stood on Philae until the mid-20th century salvage program for the Aswan High Dam. As part of the UNESCO-led relocation of the Philae complex, it was dismantled and reassembled on nearby Agilkia Island to protect it from reservoir flooding.
The kiosk is located in the Nile river area near Aswan, on Agilkia Island within the relocated Philae temple group, and is visited as part of boat tours to the temple complex. The surrounding landscape is the Nile corridor with islands and cultivated riverbanks.
