How to Get to Toumodi
Toumodi is a regional town in central Ivory Coast. There are no commercial flights into the town itself - travellers arrive at Abidjan (ABJ) or Yamoussoukro and continue by road via coach or shared taxi to Toumodi.
Port Bouet Airport, Abidjan (ABJ): The main international airport for Ivory Coast. From Abidjan to Toumodi the road trip is several hours (approx. 3-4+ hours depending on traffic); domestic flights do not serve Toumodi directly-road transfer by bus or private car is normal.
Yamoussoukro Airport (ASK) - limited service: Yamoussoukro is closer geographically and sometimes serves domestic routes; from there Toumodi is a short road transfer (under 1.5 hours) but services and schedules are limited-road travel remains the primary option.
Train: Ivory Coast’s rail network is limited for passenger service and does not provide regular passenger routes to Toumodi; rail is not generally used for this route.
Bus / bush taxi: The usual way to reach Toumodi is by intercity bus or shared bush taxis from Abidjan or Yamoussoukro. Buses depart major terminals; journey times vary (2-4 hours from nearby regional centres) and fares are affordable (a few thousand XOF depending on distance).
