How to Get to Tinago Falls #
Tinago Falls is accessed via Iligan City or nearby municipalities depending on which ‘Tinago’ (several Philippines waterfalls share the name). Most visitors base in Iligan and arrange a local guide or join a group tour that includes transport and the boat/trek to the falls.
Tips for Visiting Tinago Falls #
- Prepare for a steep descent (over 300 steps in places) and an equally steep return climb - pace yourself and take plenty of photo breaks.
- Visit early morning for soft light and fewer visitors; the pool can be crowded mid-day.
- Hire a local guide/boatman in Iligan for transport and to learn about nearby caves and lesser-known cascades.
