The Venetian Las Vegas is a large integrated resort on the Las Vegas Strip, built and opened in 1999 by Las Vegas Sands and themed on landmarks of Venice, Italy. The complex combines a luxury hotel, casino, retail shopping, dining, and entertainment venues under one campus.
Visitors encounter the resort’s centerpiece canal with gondolas, a replica of St. Mark’s architecture at selected facades, and the Grand Canal Shoppes-themed retail and dining promenades running through indoor and outdoor sections. RTC’s Deuce and SDX strip buses stop near the resort, making it a short walk from the Strip bus stops; the Las Vegas Monorail’s nearest station is a few blocks north. Harry Reid International Airport is about 2-3 miles south by road (roughly a 10-15 minute drive depending on traffic); taxis, rideshares and shuttle services are common.
