Zürich Airport (ZRH): Zürich Airport is the main international gateway for Thalwil. From the airport take an SBB train to Zürich Hauptbahnhof (about 10-12 minutes) and then an S-Bahn (frequent S2/S8/S24 services) to Thalwil station (about 10-15 minutes).
Geneva Airport (GVA): Geneva is farther away but used by some international travellers; take an intercity train to Zürich HB (approx. 2.5-3 hours) then an S-Bahn to Thalwil (another 10-15 minutes).
Train: Thalwil has its own station (Thalwil) on the Zürich-Zug line, served by ZVV S-Bahn trains (S2/S8/S24 and regional SBB services). Travel to Zürich HB takes around 10-15 minutes; regional connections to Zug and other lakeside towns are frequent.
Bus / Boat: Local VZO/postauto buses serve nearby suburbs; lake boats (Zürichsee-Schifffahrt) also call at Thalwil during the season and take considerably longer to Zürich (allow ~40-60 minutes) but are a pleasant alternative in summer.
