Tazekka National Park is a protected area in northern Morocco set to conserve mountain forests and karst landscapes around Jebel Tazekka. The park preserves upland cedar and oak woodlands that contrast with the drier surrounding areas.
Visitors use marked trails and viewpoints to explore forested slopes, limestone outcrops and gorges; the park is also known for karst caves and springs. The landscape provides habitat diversity within a relatively compact protected area.
The park was created to protect the mountain ecosystems and continues to be managed for conservation and low-impact recreation. It supports species adapted to higher-altitude, wetter conditions than the surrounding plains.
Tazekka National Park lies in the Fes-Meknes administrative area of northern Morocco, on the southern side of the Middle Atlas range. It is accessed from nearby towns in the region and occupies upland terrain above the plains.
