Tauresium is an archaeological site in central North Macedonia, within Zelenikovo Municipality, identified with a late antique fortified settlement. The site preserves the remains of fortifications, buildings and early Christian architecture.
Archaeological work has revealed fortress walls, building foundations and church structures that indicate occupation in late antiquity and the early Byzantine period. The site is of historical interest for regional late antique settlement and defense.
Medieval and later accounts connect the site to the birthplace of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I, who was born in the late 5th century. Excavations continue to refine the chronology and layout of the settlement.
Tauresium is located in central North Macedonia, southeast of the capital Skopje, set within a rural landscape of hills and small villages.

Tauresium is an archaeological site in Zelenikovo Municipality near Skopje. The most practical way to reach it is by car or taxi from Skopje (the nearest major city) using local roads into Zelenikovo Municipality; public-transit service to the immediate site is limited, so visitors normally drive or join an organized tour. Expect a short drive on rural roads from the nearest villages and a short walk from any small parking area to the ruins.
