How to Get to Target Field #
Target Field sits in downtown Minneapolis beside Target Field Station. Take Metro Transit’s METRO Blue or Green light-rail lines to Target Field Station (the stop is adjacent to the ballpark); the Northstar commuter rail also terminates at Target Field. Multiple Metro Transit buses serve nearby downtown stops if you prefer surface transit, and the stadium is a very short (1-5 minute) walk from the station.
By car the ballpark is in the downtown Minneapolis core near Interstates I‑94 and I‑394; parking and event traffic procedures vary by game so follow signage and parking instructions on event days.
Tips for Visiting Target Field #
- Use the Target Field METRO station (Blue/Green lines) - it stops adjacent to the ballpark and is usually faster and less expensive than trying to find downtown parking.
- Arrive 45-60 minutes before first pitch to explore the outfield concourse and plazas and to get skyline photos before the stadium fills; this also shortens lines at team shops and concessions.
- To avoid the postgame crush, linger in the North Loop restaurants/bars for 20-30 minutes after the final out or leave by a different gate than most fans so you don't funnel into the light-rail crowd.
