Takht-i-Bahi Archaeological Site

Takht-i-Bahi is an ancient Buddhist monastic complex near Mardan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, recognised for its preserved structural layout and archaeological importance and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The site occupies a small, isolated hill and includes a sequence of courts, monastic cells, a main stupa court and ancillary spaces arranged on terraced levels; its plan illustrates the functions of a working monastery.
