Takamanda National Park is a protected rainforest area in Cameroon’s Southwest Region that conserves lowland and montane forest near the Nigerian border. It is recognized for its biodiversity and for populations of threatened primates.
The park is an important habitat for forest mammals and birds and is part of a contiguous forest block that extends across the international boundary into southeastern Nigeria. Conservation efforts focus on protecting wildlife and preventing habitat loss.
The park is located in the southwest of Cameroon, close to the border with Cross River State in Nigeria, within a rugged, forested landscape.
