Taichung Park is a public urban park in central Taichung, Taiwan, established during the early 20th century. It is one of the city’s oldest formal parks.
The park contains a central lake with pedestrian paths and historic built elements from the Japanese colonial period. Walking routes, tree-shaded lawns and planted beds make it a compact green space used for exercise and relaxation.
The site was laid out under Japanese administration and has continued as a municipal park through the Republic of China era, with restoration and maintenance of its older structures. Over time it has remained a civic open space rather than being redeveloped.
The park sits in downtown Taichung within the urban grid, close to major city transport hubs and commercial districts. It is accessible on foot from nearby central Taichung neighborhoods.

Taichung Park sits within walking distance of Taichung Railway Station (about 10-15 minutes on foot). From Taichung High Speed Rail (HSR), take a local train to Taichung Station then walk or take a short taxi. Several city bus routes stop nearby; look for stops labeled “Taichung Park / 台中公園.”

- Enter from the park's north gate (near Taichung Railway Station) to avoid the steep stairs by the southern entrance.
- Visit early morning (before 8:30am) to see tai chi groups and avoid school outings that arrive mid-morning.
- Rent a rowboat at the small boathouse on the lake for a short, quiet circuit - it's a slow, local ritual that still survives.
