How to Get to Tai Wai
Tai Wai is a major MTR interchange in the New Territories; the fastest public access from the airport is Airport Express + MTR, or direct taxis for door-to-door transfers. Once in Tai Wai, the MTR plus local buses/minibuses cover most local trips efficiently.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG): The main entry point for Hong Kong. From the airport take the Airport Express to Kowloon Station (about 24 minutes, single-journey adult fare HK$115), then transfer to the MTR network for Tai Wai. From Kowloon Station the onward MTR/Tuen Ma/East Rail leg to Tai Wai takes roughly 25-35 minutes and costs in the region of HK$9-HK$18 depending on the exact start station and ticket type.
Shenzhen Bao’an (SZX) / Shenzhen Bay cross-border: Some travellers enter via Shenzhen and cross the border by train or bus; cross-border times and fares vary and require valid entry documents for Hong Kong.
Train: Tai Wai station is an interchange between the East Rail Line and the Tuen Ma Line (MTR). Nightlife in Tai Wai #
