How to Get to Szob
Szob is a small Hungarian town on the Danube with its own railway station (Szob vasútállomás); it's straightforward to reach by train from Budapest and other regional hubs. Vienna and Bratislava are also possible arrival points for cross-border itineraries.
Budapest Ferenc Liszt (BUD): Szob is north of Budapest on the Danube; the capital’s airport is the main international gateway. From BUD take rail or bus to Budapest Nyugati/Keleti then onward rail to Szob (total travel ~1.5-2.5 hr depending on connections). Airport transfer options include bus + train or shuttle services (prices vary, expect €6-15 to city centre).
Bratislava (BTS) / Vienna (VIE): Bratislava and Vienna airports are also used for cross-border trips; both require a longer rail/bus trip or car journey to Szob (Bratislava ≈1-1.5 hr, Vienna ≈1.5-2.5 hr by car/bus).
