Sviatohirsk Lavra Religious Site

Sviatohirsk Lavra is an Orthodox monastery complex located in eastern Ukraine on the banks of the Siverskyi Donets River near the town of Sviatohirsk. The site combines riverside cliffs, monastic buildings and cave chapels and is a major religious centre for the region.

Visitors encounter painted churches, a prominent bell tower and cliffside cave chapels that were used by monks and hermits; landscaped paths link the main buildings with viewpoints over the river valley.
