Supiori Island is one of the Schouten Islands off the northern coast of Papua province in eastern Indonesia and is part of the Biak Numfor administrative area. The island combines coastal reefs with inland hills and tropical forest.
Activities focus on diving and snorkelling the coral reefs, local cultural contact with Papuan communities, and limited trekking in interior areas. Infrastructure and visitor facilities are modest compared with major Indonesian tourist islands.
The island has long been inhabited by Papuan peoples and was later incorporated into Dutch colonial administration; it remains culturally connected to the Biak archipelago. Its economy is based on subsistence activities, small-scale agriculture and fishing.
Supiori lies north of mainland New Guinea, within Papua province of Indonesia, and forms part of the Schouten Islands group near Biak Island.
