- Shared minibus / marshrutka (300-700 KGS) - Marshrutkas are the most common and cost‑effective way to travel between regional centres. They depart when full, so schedules are flexible; bring small change and be prepared for basic conditions. Marshrutkas are economical but can be crowded and make multiple stops.
- Taxi / Private transfer (1,500-4,000 KGS (approx.)) - A private taxi gives a direct, quicker and more comfortable trip from Osh or Batken to Sülüktü and is useful for early/late arrivals or heavy luggage. Negotiate a price in advance; expect to pay several times the marshrutka fare. Border and road conditions can affect journey time.
- Regional bus (300-700 KGS) - Larger intercity buses operate on some routes between bigger towns but are less frequent than marshrutkas. They are more comfortable for longer journeys but check local schedules - timetables are not always posted online and can change seasonally.
- Car hire (USD 40+/day (varies)) - Renting a car offers the most flexibility to explore Batken Region but requires familiarity with local driving conditions and paperwork. Road quality varies; mountain and border roads may be narrow and poorly signposted. Fuel and rental costs can add up but split well for groups.
