Stadio Luigi Ferraris, commonly known as the Marassi, is a football stadium in Genoa, Liguria, that serves as the home ground for Genoa C.F.C. and U.C. Sampdoria. It was opened in 1911 and remains one of Italy’s historic multi-use stadiums.

The arena has hosted domestic league matches, cup ties and international fixtures; its stands and facilities have been renovated several times across the 20th and 21st centuries. Spectators experience a close, urban stadium setting within the Marassi district.

The stadium sits in the Marassi neighbourhood of Genoa, within the city’s eastern districts, and is accessible by local public transport from central Genoa and the main railway stations.

Stadio Luigi Ferraris is in the Marassi district of Genoa, about 1-2 km east of the historic centre. The stadium is roughly a 10-15 minute walk from Genova Brignole railway station (the nearest main station). By car follow the A12/E80 or local coastal roads into Genoa and then signs for Marassi/Brignole; it’s a short drive from central Genoa (a few kilometres). Local AMT buses also serve the area around the stadium.

• If you're attending a match, arrive at least 60-90 minutes before kick-off to clear security, soak up the atmosphere and avoid last-minute queuing at the turnstiles.
• Use public transport rather than driving - Genova Brignole station and local buses serve the Marassi area best and parking around the stadium is very limited.
• Check the two home clubs (Genoa CFC and Sampdoria) for official ticketing and any tour availability before you go; stadium tours and ticket sale windows can be intermittent, so prebooking avoids disappointment.
