Staatliche Museen zu Berlin

Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is a large state-run network of museums and research institutions in Berlin, encompassing major collections ranging from antiquities to 19th-century art. The complex includes the ensemble on Museum Island and other institutions across the city and is one of Germany’s principal museum organizations.

Large-scale antiquities and architectural reconstructions as well as rich Egyptian, Byzantine, and classical collections that attract international visitors. Several flagship buildings on Museum Island display world-famous works and reconstructions on a monumental scale.
