St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is a small Greek Orthodox parish located at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan. The original parish church was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the rebuilt shrine serves both as a parish church and a national Greek Orthodox shrine.

The rebuilt church contains a traditional Orthodox sanctuary with iconography and liturgical furnishings arranged for Greek Orthodox worship. As a national shrine it also functions as a commemorative site connected to the World Trade Center.

The original St. Nicholas parish church was lost in the attacks of September 11, 2001. A replacement building was constructed at the World Trade Center site and the new St. Nicholas National Shrine was completed and reopened in 2022.

The church stands at the World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, within a short walk of the 9/11 Memorial and One World Trade Center.
