How to Get to Skradin

Skradin is best reached via Split (SPU) or Zadar (ZAD) airports; there is no direct rail link so buses or car transfers are used for the final leg. Skradin is a popular gateway to Krka National Park and is well served by regional coaches.

By Air

Split Airport (SPU): Split is the main airport for Dalmatia and the most convenient for Skradin and Krka National Park. From Split Airport you can reach Skradin by bus or taxi; bus journeys from Split city to Skradin take about 45-75 minutes and fares are typically €4-€8, while a taxi/transfer will be faster but cost significantly more (roughly €60-€100).

Zadar Airport (ZAD): Zadar is an alternative, especially if arriving from the north; travel from Zadar to Skradin by car takes about 1-1.5 hours, while bus options exist with similar overall travel times and usually modest fares (€6-€12).

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no direct rail connection to Skradin; the nearest significant railhead is in Knin or Šibenik depending on route. Trains are not the practical final leg for Skradin visitors.

Bus: Buses are the main public transport to Skradin. Regular buses run from Split and Šibenik to Skradin (journey times around 45-75 minutes from Split), and local buses connect Skradin with nearby towns and Krka National Park entrances. Fares are inexpensive and timetables are more frequent in summer.
